Hey everyone, long time no write. I have been interviewed by Jazzit magazine and they published it alongside a nice review of Stonebreaker. Check it out here:
We’re working hard at getting a ton of new music ready to record with Hobby Horse in January, and I’m also looking forward to performing with Giovanni Guidi Unknown Rebel Band at Umbria Jazz Winter. Keep an eye on my Facebook page for more updates.
Thanks to everyone who came to our show yesterday in Pisa, and also to all our new friends from Switzerland, Germany, Austria etc. We love you!
For those of you who didn’t get the memo, Hobby Horse now has a newsletter. You can sign up by writing an email to us: hobbyhorse3(at)gmail.com. We’ll even give you a free prize for signing up!
Hobby Horse is going on vacation for a bit now, we have our next tour scheduled for mid May. In the meantime, I’m hard at work on getting the first record by Dan Kinzelman’s Ghost ready for production. You can come see us tonight in Sesto Fiorentino (near Florence) if you’d like. Very excited about all this as well as several other interesting new and old projects I’m working on. More soon…
It’s amazing playing and hanging out in Berlin. This city has a strange kind of vitality, an incredible creative energy combined with a really calm and peaceful atmosphere. So far the tour’s going really well. We’ve been lucky with really friendly and receptive audiences and good weather.
We’re looking forward to our show this evening at the saxophone museum Saxstall, then back to Italy to close out our tour with a handful of shows in northern Italy…
Thanks to everyone who made it out to our show in Prato. We were a bit nervous during the aperitivo that nobody would come but it filled up and we had a great time.
We apologize for the vomit and blood, hopefully we’ll get that aspect ironed out before the next concert. Here’s a video from our show this January at Un Tubo (Siena). See you all tomorrow in Lugano at Jazz in Bess!
